still camera (Warning: Large pictures!)siguro dapat nandito si super photographer mia and lana's dad a.k.a. MLD

wanna know the technical aspects of photography din eh. kasi ang pag-capture naman ng frame, depende sa artistic preference ng photographer, di ba? it's a question of how to adjust the settings sa camera to come up with the desired effect... for example, pano mo nagagawang crisp yung subject, pero blurred ang background?
alamat, fire away with the tutorials!
btw, yung EOS ba ang gamit mo dun sa sample pics mo? how do you do the "warm, and cold effects" ng pics? lighting, or a setting din?
anyways, tutorial?
technical?
pwede rin "how to compose" as in "composition" un ang pinagkakaabalahan ko ngaun.
kasi sabi ng isang photographer. "it's not the camera that takes the picture...it is you" or something to that effect.
1. exposure
2. aperture
3. shutter speed
4. ISO speed
yan lang muna. *wink*
1. 50mm 1.4F
2. 18-200mm
3. 24-70mm
loved them.... although the 350D is getting obsolete, trying to save money for the 40D...
its called Kiss digital in japan, and rebel XT in the US, 350D elsewhere.....galing ng shots mo alamat!...
as for your question sgp.... sharp on the subject and blurred background?.. its not really the camera, but on the lens, the wider the aperture F, which is the 1/F number the more blurry/softer the background gets.... normally if the aperture is wider, the lens would be more expensive... there's a lot of other technical mumbo jumbo in there, hehehe...
and warming and cooling the pics, you change the white balance of the camera (change to a sunny/shade setting it gives you warmth, change to flourescent setting, it becomes cool/cold)..... even point and shoot cameras would have that option.... best is to read up at some of the online photography stuff
dunno how to override manual controls, but these pics are taken with Beach mode on SD700. taken at the Clearwater Beach here in FL.
save for my cousin, ganda na sana ng silhouette nung babae sa beach. hehe!
i was told the pics were "noisy"... dunno what that means though. hehe! i wonder if having manual controls could take away the "noise". is that the grainy look on the image?
*ooops, assignment, assignment* hehe!
:-) hehehe
sgp magaling ka pala mag compose!
second pic...konting ayos pa... as per 'rules' (research: 'photography composition')
(nasa assignment mo: aperture or 'bokeh' You can use wikipedia)
nasa assignment mo... ISO speed
sample ung pic mo. click to enlarge mo.
bokeh means blur pala.... ahhhhhh!
ang ganda nung shot dun sa matchboxes ah. hmmm, macro gamit mo don? i better try something like that, para hindi kung anu-ano ang nafofocus ko. hehe! keinis, andito ako sa office ngayon, nasa bahay ang cam. gusto ko na i-try eh!!!
*reading mode*
enjoy yan!
he he he
@SGP
ang lamang mo ay meron kang image stabilization... so less blur from camera shake.
I'm learning the ways of the DSLR as well. I've got my Nikon D40X 10.2 MP with your standard 18-55mm and an extra 55-200mm to supplement it - this was all slightly for under $1k. I haven't had time lately to play with advanced settings, but it shouldn't bad, right? Anyway, I have a month to really learn it
uy, nice entry level DSLR, ok ang reviews ng D40X,....would have bought a nikon sana before, but the accessories and lens line up was difficult to get here in the phils, medyo ngayon lang dumadami....and adeno, you can already use the 55-200mm (but at a higher ISO, and probably set it to spot metering) sa concert ni sarah for close ups!...warning lang, photography will really put a big hole in your pocket, once you learn about the different lens, sigurado bibili ka (primes and zooms), then you go to flash photography, ayan gastos na naman ng external flash, tapos mga extras pa, like filters, spare batteries, cleaning accessories, syempre kailangan may magandang bag yung gear mo kaya bibili ka ng crumpler, lowerpro or tamrac! hay.......I'm not even thinking about printing on paper
I'm already aware of the hole in the pocket
I've been doing research when I have time regarding high end photography with DSLRs... People I've noticed seem to like the D40/D40X for it's compact size and fairly light weight. I had my eye on the D80, but this will suffice for entry level
Printers, I've got that one covered, as my 3 year old printer is capable of 13" by 19" photo prints, though the inks and photo paper are another money sink.
Thanks for the tips though, I'll have some practice somehow before the concert begins
Last August I was given the opportunity to use my SLR camera and here's one good pic I was able to take.
I'll post some tips later and maybe some basic tutorials regarding SLR cameras.
thanks sa tutorial, teacher paul!
erm, brand of preference... Sony or Canon? first-ever i bought was a Sony W30 (just so i could take pictures during the BWN concert lmao).... medyo ignoramus pa kasi kung ano mga features dapat tingnan. dati, megapixels lang yung gauge ko. the higher, the clearer (and the better hehe). and it was small and handy...pwedeng ilusot sa security hehe. at color white pa sya. *grins* ang ganda ng mga reasons ko no? hahaha. i can sense the "pros" in da haus getting appalled already
